Amare is an athlete, mentor, and entrepreneur who combines his passion for sports with his drive to serve others. He’s coached within Park Forest–Chicago Heights schools and leads youth programs emphasizing teamwork, character, and wellness.
My Story
A proud native of Park Forest, Amare grew up surrounded by mentors who showed him that basketball can be a bridge to a better life. He now works to pass that same message on. Through CAB’s athletic division, he’s developing a year-round basketball program with a goal of awarding 50 scholarships to student-athletes pursuing higher education.
For Amare, recreation is about more than movement — it’s about meaning. His leadership ensures that CAB’s gymnasiums and courts become places where youth learn persistence, teamwork, and purpose, preparing them for success beyond the game.
